part of the world worthwhile.

From New Delhi: To reach Kuflon for lunch i.e by 2 pm. Click here for route map

By Road
Kuflon is 385 kms from New Delhi. A 10 hour drive (non-stop) if you start early (4 am).
To avoid the highway traffic, leave Delhi as earliest by 4 am, then it is a 4 hrs drive to Rishikesh and onwards it is a 5 1/2 hrs
driving time to be in time for lunch by 2 pm at Kuflon. Mind you it excludes time for extended breaks for photo shots / tea breaks etc.

Suggested route from Delhi
Ghaziabad, Modi Nagar, Meerut Bypass, Muzaffarnagar Bypass, Roorkee, Haridwar, Rishikesh Bypass, Narender Nagar, Chamba, ChinyaliSaud, Dharasu, Uttarkashi, Gangori, KUFLON BASICS

Common 2 wrong turns: Firstly you do not enter Rishikesh town, take the Bypass going to Narender Nagar and NOT to Devprayag. Secondly at Chamba, the detour to Uttarkashi is not marked. Please Enquire. You do NOT go to New Tehri.

Enroute refreshment breaks: Midway Merrut/ Muzzafarnagar there is our favorite Cheetal Grand and many other options till you reach Rishikesh. The drive into the mountains starts from here and below are some reccommended stops. The safest bet is Maggi noodles / aaloo parantha / egg / bottled water / tea – very sweet unless you want it otherwise. If so, do let them know, it is a 25 percent shot

Agrakhal – Approx. 1 1/2 hrs from Rishikesh
Aamsera : Approx. 30 minutes from Agrakhal
Dharasu bend: Approx. 2 1/4 hrs from Aamsera
Kuflon Basics for lunch 1 1/2 hrs from Dharasu bend.

By Train
The Nearest railhead is Haridwar, 175kms. Train tickets need to be booked well in advance.

Train number 4041 Mussoorie Express departs Old Delhi railway station at 10:15 pm and arrives at Haridwar at 5.40 am. Taxi onwards (175 kms / 6 hrs/ Rs.2500) to arrive at Kuflon for Lunch.

OR

Board the Shatabadi Express early morning 7 am to reach Haridwar at 11.40 am. Taxi onwards (175 kms / 6 hrs/ Rs.2500) to arrive at Kuflon.

By Air
The Nearest airport is Jolly Grant,175 Kms.

Kingfisher flight departs NEW Delhi (DEL) 9.20 am / 4 pm to reach Dehradun (DED) at 10.20 am / 5 pm respectively. Taxi onwards (175 kms / 6hrs / Rs 2500) to arrive at Kuflon.

RETURN TO NEW DELHI
By Train
Train number 4042 Mussoorie Express departs Haridwar at 10:30 pm to reach Old Delhi Railway station at 7.00 am.

OR

Shatabadi Express departs Haridwar at 6.00 pm to reach Delhi at 10:45 pm.

By Air
Kingfisher departs Dehradun (DED) at 10.40 am / 5.15 pm to reach New Delhi (DEL) at 11.45 am / 6.20 pm respectively.
